About the Business
Sydney Piano School & Pedagogy Research Centre is the research-based piano school for excellence in classical piano training in Australia. We are deeply dedicated to motivating and inspiring students of all ages through music education and performance, enabling them to shine through music. Piano pedagogy seminars are organized frequently for teachers and students, to provide professional enrichment and to explore a variety of relevant and stimulating pedagogical topics.
Our aim is not only to cultivate students' pianistic techniques and musical ability but also to nurture students' creativity, independence and persistence. Sydney Piano School & Pedagogy Research Centre has two campuses, Carlingford and Pymble.
About the Role
Our teachers will take responsibility for the teaching of Classical Piano for students from preliminary to advanced levels. The teaching tasks include:
1. One on one piano lessons for K-12 students and adult students;
2. Preparation for students to sit AMEB Piano Exams; and
3. Preparation of students for two annual concerts and other performance opportunities.
Our Teachers will also participate in activities such as staff meetings, teaching seminars, masterclasses and annual concerts.

About Teaching Seminars and Masterclasses
The school arrange regular teaching seminars. The teachers will assemble together (online or face-to-face) to discuss a certain academic topic.
The covid pandemic notwithstanding, the school holds one or two masterclasses annually, inviting professors and virtuosos from all-around-the-world to give masterclasses for our teachers. Additionally, our Principal will provide targeted training and teaching support for all of our teachers throughout the year.
